2001 Wrangler SE

I have a dark blue 2001 Jeep Wrangler SE 5 speed

Has the 2.5l 4 Cylinder and pulls the 31 inch tires real good.

It has about 123xxx miles on it and runs flawlessly. Replaced many parts including radiator, all hoses, and other normal maintanence parts including filters etc
I've had it for about a year now and has treated me well but i am going to be starting my second year of college and will be commuting. Because of this i am looking for a better commuter car.

It has a small lift, and year old 31x10.5 all terrain tires on it. Also has 15 inch American Racing 8 hole rims. I have never off roaded it and looking at the rust/ dent free body it doesnt look like its been offroaded at all.

Just installed a new top with tinted windows.

I had a soundsystem put in that cost me around $1000.

looking to get $9000 with the sound system and $8000 obo without it.

You can message me on here or email me at CBRx44@aol.com or call/ text me at 203-556-6825
Send me offers the worst i can say is no.

I am located in Stratford, CT and will drive to meet you but no where too far.

Also if anyone wants this and has a car they want to trade for it let me know.
Thanks for looking

Chris

Dont forget, most of us already have Jeeps, so it might take a little bit of time.

But regardless, free bump

Give it some time. Gotta remember we live in CT--soon we will all be broke
What's KBB? seems a bit high for a 2.5.
good luck--it's a nice jeep, someone will be happy.

yeah i hear ya on us all being broke. i still cant believe that.

On KBB it says around $8000 excellent and $7500 good.I figure its probably between the two cause of little things like a small exhaust leak and all. Then plus the sound system but i can always take that out.

But i am negotiable.

And yeah I love it just wish i could press a button that would make it more aerodynamic and get atleast 25mpg but hey its part of owning a Jeep. Just dont think its right for me at this stage in life. Later on ill get a nice JK and lift that and all haha.

You'll miss it once you sell TRUST ME. There is a reason there is three jeeps in my sig-I just can't live without one
I actually sold my Yj to a friend and had plans for a new Cherokee at the time. Well
That did not work out-browsing a JEEP dealership. There sat this Purty silver Tj. Could swear it was saying "buy me"
I listened to her, and never looked back. jeeps are getting more economical for sure so it's not like I'm going backwards

No worries, I did the same thing. I'm in college, sold my TJ for a Corolla, sucks, but hey, I can deal with 35 mpg. Once I graduate, off to the Jeep dealership! Just keep your head up, gotta do what ya gotta do.

Go for the Honda trade, I would. Have a better chance to sell a Honda-more of a market

"The exhaust leak and all" are the things that would make it good or less not excellent. 99.99% of used vehicles do not fall into the excellent category. Most are good or worse, Think showroom new for excellent.

nahhhh I'm not a big Honda guy. I'll think about it if he wants to put 5 or 6 grand on top of it lol

I understand it's not "excellent" and that's why I said 8000 Obo.

I got to agree with that. The reason why my last wife is an ex, is because she traded my 2002 TJ X for a damn Caravan. Seemed like a good idea at the time that piece only lasted six months, tried to make both of us happy and trade the van in for a 2005 Grand Cherokee WK. Not the same. After the divorce, I got rid of the WK and bought my Sport. It's good to be in a Jeep again.

I hear ya on gas mileage though. I'm fortunate enough to live on 4.5 miles from work, so half a tank lasts me almost two weeks. Have you considered finding an older Toyota on Craigslist? Next to Jeep, Toyota is the only other brand I can't seem to kill. Super reliable and great on gas. Keep the TJ and use the Yota for all your daily driving.

Thought about that in the past, my commute to work was 45 minutes
Closer now-make more money, not to overly concerned about MPG's. my Tj was around 15. If I baby the Jk, best I got
was 18 (city). I can live with that

I did think of buying another car but decided with school and only working part time im probably going to barely have enough money to support one car let alone two haha.

I just know im getting back into a Jeep asap lol

Drive to Hartford then park it on the side of the road and leave it. It will be gone in 20 minutes and then you can collect from the insurance company. Just don't leave the keys in it because that will look to obvious.

I eliminated my 6K credit card debt in the year I have owned my 35mpg Focus. I am accomplishing what I set out do when I traded my Jeep. But a day does not go by that I don't regret selling my Jeep, especially the summertime with all the doorless topless Jeeps around town.
Good luck selling it, and if I may suggest think long and hard before you do. As I once said the regret runs deep, when its gone its gone.

Yeah if I ever sell it it will be weird seeing someone else driving her away but I really think that selling the jeep is the right decision for now. Ill probably regret it but in a few years I'll buy one when I'm making more money and make it mine again.
