2002 Custom Yamaha R1 race/street

I'm selling my former race/street R1.

I'll try to dig out the camera and get some more shots today. I've got a few shots in the garage, but they're dark and don't show much.

Keep in mind that this is a highly modded bike and isn't your average liter bike. I sold my race bodywork and all my slicks to a racer buddy of mine so this bike is sold by itself. Title is clear and in my hand. If you're interested in it, shoot me a PM and we can discuss a price. I've got a bunch of money invested in this bike, but I'm open for discussion.

beautiful bike man! Are those front forks stock?? I'm guessing R1's didn't come with Ohlins stock, and those things cost a nice buck to upgrade to. Good luck with the sale. I'd take it off your hands but I just bough a Triumph.

No, they aren't stock. It cost about $2800 for front/rear Ohlins shocks. Worth every penny though. Infinitely adjustable for any track/body weight of rider/street roads. One of the best things you can do to any bike. What Triumph did you get? I'm looking at a Speed Triple myself.

Bump. Bike is still for sale. It's in Salina, KS, but I would be willing to deliver it if you're relatively close.

I'd also be willing to work out a partial trade if you've got something fun you'd like to trade.

As long as you pay for shipping those 600 lbs. of bullets!!
I want them sent overnight air. Shouldn't be too expensive......
Same with the primers. I'm sure the shipping company will ship them overnight with a haz-mat fee that's not too crazy........

That could amount to more than the bike!

Why are you selling her? Looks like a nice bike. Im digging the suspenders. I have a 08 CBR1000RR that I wont get rid of for anything. "From my cold dead hands!"

You might get more intrest if you post a price.

I'm wanting a new toy. I said the same thing......"I'll die owning this same bike." But priorities change and so do interests.

I'm only asking $6k for this bike. If I don't sell it, I'll part it out. I KNOW I can get significantly MORE than $6k for the parts. I'm just not wanting to do that just yet. It's got almost $3k worth of suspension alone. We'll see how it goes.

You certainly will get more for it if you part it out but that is allot of work. Not to mention you have to store it... in pieces. You generally don’t get back much money for mods on a motorcycle. The Ohlins, however, will certainly attract the discriminating buyer. Certain mods are worth $$$. Someone who knows what he/she is looking at will pay more. I would love to put some Ohlins, and Marchesinis while I’m at it, on my bike.

Six sounds fair provided it’s a clean, no damage bike. Good luck with the sale.

If you have the stock parts, putting it back to stock and selling the aftermarket stuff separately would be your best bet.
