2012 JK Sport S (NE Ohio)

Going to sell the Jeep & get a full size pick up. Am interested in cash, trade or trade + cash. PM me if interested.

15k miles. Paid $29K for the vehicle new in Feb & installed a bunch of extras. Easily still worth around $30k even with depreciation and minor wear & tear (has a ding in driver side cowl from a door, and minor trail scratches which should be able to be buffed out).

Break-down of things:

Wrangler 2Dr Sport - $21,945
3.6L Automatic Sport Package - $2,115
Connectivity Group - $363
Dual Top (hard/soft) - $1,531
Tow Package - $254
Power Windows/Locks - $645
5-Speed Automatic - $1,060
3.73 Axle Ratio - $47
Anti-spin Differential Rear Axle - $278
Sirius - $184
Also has A/C & remote start.
With freight/delivery & what not - $29,474 for the base vehicle purchase (this is what I paid - not MSRP, which is higher)

I've also added on:
2 1/2" lift
Black steel wheels
33" Nitto Trail Grappler tires
Smittybilt XRC Side Rails
Smittybilt XRC Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier
Smittybilt XRC M.O.D. Front bumper
Quadratec 9,000lbs winch
And a ton of little things (rocker panel guards, weathertech floor mats, $1,200 worth of speakers, sub & amps, window tint (both soft & hard top), and more.
Over $5,000 worth of stuff, easily.

Sorry to tel you this but all that money you put in you will never see again. You can buy a brand new 2012 Sahara or rubicon for 30k people want to do there own mods try to trade it in (or you already did and they said ur screwed) you won't get anywhere near what you expect sorry that's the car business I was in it for a year people get screwed everyday but you won't see that money my recommendation to you is to put all the stock stuff back on and sell all the aftermarket stuff including hardtop.

I'm good. Found a dealership that gave me a really great deal that was awfully close to the value of the Jeep I estimated. It's a bad a_ _ rig that was kept in really good shape - but I'm happy with my new F-150 FX4. I even got a check cut back to me to sweeten the deal I made. My new truck looks tough, rides smooth & has more bells & whistles than I could ask for. More than I was looking for - so I'm very happy.

I was in the car business too - but regardless, I know from personal experience, if you have something unique & sweet - you'll find a buyer or get what you want as long as you're being realistic. I was being realistic. I sell stock take off stuff right away - whether it be for motorcycles or cars - and do not believe in parting things (aftermarket stuff) out at sales time. I have always done very well - and did well this time. I tend to build things in such a way that they are liked very much by others; others who don't want to have to modify things themselves & prefer to buy them "already set up". I think it's safe to say this Jeep fell into that category & the dealership I traded it to will have no problem re-selling it and pocketing a nice profit too.

To Maddawg - I was looking to get close as close to $30k as I could for the vehicle. And I got pretty darn close

At any rate - it's been real & fun on this forum - but I'm gonna take a sabbatical for a year or two until I pick up another Jeep that I'll just be using to beat the snot out of solely for wheelin'.
