258 engine/tranny part out chattanooga, tn

looking to part out my 258 and tranny

reason: not running well (we believe its a cam lobe/burnt valve issue) converting to 305 v8 with fuel injection

wont know fully what all is damaged till i get it pulled apart.

i already sold the mc2100/egr/distributor off of it and the Crank shaft is spoken for.

this is out of a 89 YJ wrangler with about 140,000 miles on it.

i dont have too many prices but if there is anything you want just let me know and ill figure a price for it. also all prices are OBO, im guessing on some of this stuff...

alenator (about a year old works fine) $50

starter (works great, just had it tested when i thought i had a starting problem, turned out to be battery) $50

valve cover $15

intake manifold $25

exhaust header/manifold $25

head $50 (obviously is nothing is wrong with it)

block $75 (again, if nothing is wrong with it)

oil pan $10

Peugot 5spd BA10/5, just put lucas gear oil in it. has held up great for me, no grinding, (im running 4.88 gears and 36" tires, never had a problem) $100

anything i havent mentioned just ask me about it, im selling everything from the fan back to the Tcase (keeping the 231)

im open to any offers. thanks. and shipping is NOT included in any prices.

Will you be able to use the master cylinder with the engine swap ?
If not I not one if the one you have is good.

everything on the engine looks fine, some of the rod bearings were going out and the cam doesnt look bad but from what we could tell might be wearing down and not opening the valves correctly... but the head itself looks good.

i also have a set of brand new in the box Comp Cams springs and retainers and rods for a Comp Cam upgrade (no cam though) that i will throw in for $40 with the head or if you just want them $40 plus shipping.

the connecting rods have been sold

any others for any of this stuff?? remember all of this is OBO! thanks for looking.

do you have or selling the fuel and tranny/T-case wiring harness if so do you think it would hook up to a cherokee computer and a TJ wiring harness.

my wiring has been "customized" so not alot if much is left over from the original and i dont think it would work for your application. i had only two wires going to the tranny and none to the tcase. i got the old stuff pre 4.0L I6

THE Radiator is gone.

Sale Pending on the Tranny.

still got lots of stuff.

here is an updated list from my craigslist ad:

-alternator (about a year old works fine) $40

-starter (works great, just had it tested) $40

-valve cover $10

-intake manifold $25

-exhaust header/manifold $25

-head $50 (cam lobes dont look bad but i think its not lifting valves properly)
- set of comp cam springs, retainers, and lifters for $40 to go with it or seperate)

-block $75 (does not include crank, connecting rods or pistons)

-piston heads $30

-flywheel $20

-clutch $20 works great, no slipping, just used

-oil pan $10 comes with one of those reusable rubber gaskets still in great shape

-Peugot 5spd BA10/5 $100, just changed fluid to lucas gear oil. has held up great for me, no grinding, (im running 4.88 gears and 36" tires, never had a problem) (sale pending)

-computer for carter setup $15

-Ignition module $15

-charcoal canister $5

-NC231J transfer case $100 with 231c rear ouput and speedo hookup tailhousing from blazer, GREAT if you want to convert it with SYE kit (i transfered my SYE kit over to a 231c tcase)

im open to any offers. thanks. and shipping is NOT included in any prices. if i have left anything out that you might think i have just email me and ill check on it. thanks.

also have a 305 v8 from an 84 camaro z28 for $200 (bought the wrong year engine for my conversion, was garuanteed to me to run)
