4.0L parts galore! - MI

Basically, the deal is Im building my buddy a stroker and I ended up with two complete 4.0L engines and a complete 4.2L to do it all with. The fact of the matter is that Im not usually practically anything from the internals of these 4.0L motors. Even some of the external stuff is not being used. So instead of list ALL of it I figure I will let you guys tell me what you need and give you a price. So if you need a replacement part then just let me know.

P.S.
Im deffinatley not out to get rich off of this stuff! Make me an offer!

Thanks,
Jeff

Do you have a transfer case that would fit a 88 Wrangler 6 cylinder with standard transmission?

I'm interested in the 4.2 crank. thats all I want since I'm getting custom pistons made for my stroker. Is it the older 4.2 crank with more counter weights.

Yea, sorry sahara. Im using the rods and crank for the stroker Im building. Cant give that stuff up.

popatop-I mostly only have motor parts. But I dont have any transfer cases. Sorry about that.

rebel-I guess I will have these parts until someone buys them, lol. Nah, I'll keep em around about 2 months and then probably get sick of seeing it and just haul it off to the scrap yard. But hopefully it will all be bought before that has to happen. Or atleast most of it. Just let me know what you need.

smeg-The serp belt is good but Im reusing that piece. One of the very few things I actually am using again. But I do have a spare a/c compressor, give it to ya for $40+shipping. Im actually using the other to do OBA myself for that stroker.

Oh, and yes sahara, it is the one with 12 counter weights that weighs 66 lbs I believe it is. I got a lots of friends with Jeep parts so I will ask around and let you know if one of them may have a 4.2L engine layin around.

thanks That would be cool. If you find a crank let me know. I'm in no hurry. I don't care if it's the 12 counter weights or not. But 12 is better.

sahara-i know for a fact i got a buddy with a pulled 4.2 sittin in his shop. Hes not doin anything with it either so I think he'd sell the crank and rods to ya. Im not sure which one it is though. And yes, 12 is better, lol.

Hkd-I've got a computer for the 4.2 right now but I may be able toget you a 4.0L computer if thats what your looking for. Id have to call a few people so let me know.

Taz2-Well unfortunatley the extra 4.0L block I have was removed because it threw a rod so its not gonna be useable in that sense. Im just gonna take it to the scrap yard for a little $$. But I can set you up with everything you need to build a block if youd like. I can get you the crank, rods, pistons, rings, cam, lifters, distributor, pushrods, valve cover, fuel rail. I think all youd have to find yourself would be a block and a head because someone already bought that. So if you want me to cut you a deal on all of that stuff just let me know everything you want and we can figure something out.

nate-I have one but its got the usual cracking goin on. I have been welding for over 6 years now though and I could easily get welded back up for you if you wanted. Repaired I'd give it to ya for $15. Im not sayin this is the best route to go because it is very possible for it to crack again down the road. Im just being honest here but if I were you Id buy myself some nice new inexpensive pacesetter headers or something like that. They are a little more than a new manifold but they are pretty nice.

rebel-haha, thanks man. I try after all. If a fellow jeeper needs help I do what I can. Yea, the guy who has that motor works more than anyone I have ever met so he's not around very often and its hard to catch him. So I appoligize sahara but it may take me a while before I can track it down for ya. And I will deff. keep my eyes and ears open for one for you rebel.

Yeah, that is what I figured. I started thinking about it a lot and figured I'd be better off spending the money for something that will last. Thanks for the honesty.

To be honest I dont mind hunting around a little. Where I live there is a lot of open land and lots of guys who are big into mud boggin and the such. Naturally, some of the guys like Jeeps and trails too so I got a few buddys who have usually got one thing or another layin around.

I bought my jeep used and I am looking for the-

Stock airbox SNORKEL, just the snorkel. One of the previous owner took it off
and would like it for offroading.

-Let me know if you might have access to one
or anyone else who reads this I thought it would be easier to find one buy itself with all the people who put in aftermarket snorkel.
OH yah I have a 2003 4.0Liter i6 If that matters
Thanks,
-John

coast warrior-sorry, I have two of them and they are both in pretty rough shape and I deffinatley wouldnt want to use them myself so I doubt you would want them. I could try celaning them up because right now they are just really dirty and if they look decent I will let you know for sure.

taz2-I dont have a computer for the engine, it stayed with the jeep after I pulled the motor.

chiro-I have a buddy who's parting his 03' XJ and he has one. I will give him a call and see how much he wants for it.
