Ash Tray

My jeep did not come with one. I dont smoke, but i would like to have a cleaner/complete dash. I have switches there now, and will be drill ing holes and making it so it wont open so almost any condition is ok. My dash color is on my cardomain site if that helps anyone. Send me a pic + a price and we'll go from there. thanks
-Andrew

To get an ashtray for the dash, you're gonna need a whole new center stack cover (the big black cover in the middle). The 98's have 3 switches then the ashtray. The door is only one part. The back part is part of that stack. I know this cuz I cut it off putting in a second bezel.

Try a wrecking yard for a wrecked TJ and see if that center cover is still in one of em and you could probably get it dirt cheap.

I doubt you'll find many willing to part with their entire cover.

You can see it here, being cut off.

Sorry it is so big - not my pic.

Wow, you don't smoke, and yet you are worried about an ash tray. I think I will just leave it at that, and not comment any further.

thats where my switches are mounted. i have the wires ran there, cut to length, and switches in place. right now i have a piece of binder covering the hole to heep the switches in. i would LIKE to have a real tray to match the rest of my dash, and be more stable.

I went this route with it. I don't smoke either, and thought I could make the space look a bit better.
