Mine was chrome. Easy to remove/install
Like 4 of those plastic thingys.

I regret not pulling it of before I gave it to the dealer

Install is very easy as kjkeeper10 said four plastic push pins that's it. You do need to remove you headlight rings and then reinstall once the grill is on.
