Just putting a feeler out there. Anyone interested please let me know. Looking to get into an equally well maintained but higher mileage 4-door Cherokee as a straight up trade for my Jeep which is immaculate in terms of condition. The only thing it really needs is the hood and doors to be painted over with a smooth coat (I did a rattle can job I am planning to re-do). The pics don't show the new MT/Rs on the back.
1999 Jeep Wrangler SE
5 speed manual
2.5" body lift.
Engine re-built in 2008 and has just shy of 60,000 miles on it. Re-built by Jasper Transmission and I have all the documentation to prove it.
Body has 240K miles on it (I know a lot), but honestly I bought it because the body itself is in great condition and the engine runs awesome. NO RUST.
Let me know if you know anyone interested in a trade. Honestly, this Wrangler just needs a fresh paint of coat (a Maaco special would do the trick), not because of rust but because I don't have the time to paint it myself. I just drove it to Williamsburg VA and back from Northern VA, that includes country roads and interstate driving, and it never so much as hiccuped. Don't let the mileage on the body scare you, the engine was re-built (I can e-mail the Jasper official paperwork tying the re-build to the VIN) and runs like new, and I have personally seen to it that all the fluids are replaced (or checked) and are fresh. The only fluid I didn't change was the coolant because it looked relatively new. The prior owner was a mechanic for FFX County so I have good reason to believe, based on what I have found from doing fluid changes and minor repairs, as well as the state of the Jeep when I bought it, that it was well taken care of before I purchased it. The PO owned it since '08 (roughly the time of the engine re-build).
