For Sale: TJ Dana 44 Rear Axle IL/WI

Got a tj dana 44 rear end, all is there, drum to drum, brakes are in good shape, trac bar included. 115k on odo. I'm near chicago, don't wanna ship really. I am willing to drive a little ways to help deliver, or have an excuse to go by the badlands

asking $600 obo, gearing and pics coming later today.

opened it up, fluid was fine, had been changed before. 3.73 gears, so thats the large carrier correct? sway bar is also on it.



brakes have about 75% on them i'd say



drums are good

oops, carrier break is 3.92 not 3.73.

i could also build this or regear if someone wants to buy and pay for that.

Next time you do ring and pinion or locker install, take some pics and do a write up.
It would make a nice sticky.

i have been wanting to, but everytime i do it, i have just enough time to do the job, doing a nice write up would take more than double. i have a link somewhere for an awesome write up though, the only worthwhile one i've seen online. i'll have to find it, i actually printed it out it was so good. probably took two days to do the job and make this write up.

Now I just have to remember that 40mph = 30mph until I put the new tires on heh.

Haha! Yea, mine is 5mph slow on the gauge so I just use my GPS to remind me of how fast I'm going.
