FS: 98 TJ-6cyl, 5spd, on 33's w/ 3.5 Rock KrawlerLong Arm
I just bought an '04 Rubi, looking to sell my 98TJ. It's been in both Petersens 4 Wheel and Off Road and Jp Magazine (that's a selling point, right? hahaha).
I built it to be a badass trail rig/occasional daily driver. Due to my current under-employment situation i've had to shuffle some priorities around. I want to get down to 1 vehicle, and what it comes down to is that it needs more work than I can give it to turn it back to daily driver duty at this point in time. Would be minimal for anyone with a shop at their disposal, or a great starting point for someone looking to build a buggy.
Plus, No A/C or cruise and I do a lot of highway driving and work in an office. On rainy and humid summer days, it's not a pleasant ride to work.
Chili Pepper pearl coat with tan (spice) tops (OEM hard and soft w duster deck cover)
Manual Transmission (AX15)
Np231 Transfer case with Slip yoke eliminator kit
3.5" Rock Krawler Xfactor Long Arm suspension (much better on road handling and ride vs. stock suspension or short arm, stellar flex on the trail, also provides clearance under belly pan)
Rock Krawler XFactor Steering (discontinued for TJ I believe)
Brand new (installed may '12, less than 2k on them) BF Goodrich Mud terrain KM2' 33x12.5x15R
15x8 Cragar Soft 8's in black steel
117amp ZJ Alternator
Tom Woods custom super short shaft kit in rear w/ Slip yoke Eliminator
Full steel doors with crank windows w/ Mirrors
Steel half doors w/ Mirrors (Have gray uppers, that are beat pretty bad. These were free to me.)
Front- Low Pinion D30 w/ Diff guard
Rear- Ford 8.8 w/ 4link (from a '97 explorer w/ disc brakes) and ARB Air Locker (small compressor to run lockers only)
Soft top (All zippers work except rear window, comes w/ extra soft top skin)
Matching canvas doors from Bestop
Bestop Seat covers for driver and passenger- grey vinyl (great at keeping dirt and trail debris off of seats).
-Steering is loose. I have the parts to replace the steering shaft but haven't installed them yet.
-Parking Brake on the F8.8 Rear needs to be modified so the Parking break actually holds
-Exhaust manifold is cracked and needs to be replaced. Haven't had the chance to do this either. Causes some sputtering when accelerating?
-Some frame rot
-front D30 needs Pinion bearings. Could easily find a High Pinion D30 and replace it.
-front fenders are trashed.
It needs an inspection but is currently registered and able to drive, though I wouldn't drive it long distances.
Asking $6k for everything listed. Will consider reasonable offers but the lower the offer, the less extras you'll get. Message me, as I'm not on here as much. Serious inquiries only. No payments, no trades, No BS. Money talks.
