Half For Full Door Trade

Ok Hi all.
So I have a 97 TJ with half doors and ive been keeping my eye open for a pair of full doors. I gave up on them when i realized the difficulty of finding a pair as well as finding that the price for a used set could be up to 1000 dollars. Today at school a guy with a tj asked me how much my halfs were and said he wanted a pair (he has nice fulls). I told him id trade him my halfs for his fulls. He seemed to like the idea. Would you guys think this is a good idea? I could even sell the full doors and use the money for other mods like a bumper and a lift. Thoughts?

I dont think he realizes how much fulls are worth but im not gonna let him know But i mean he wants halfs so as long as you get what you want who cares about how much money you could have made selling fulls, right?

I need to understand the need for full doors. 1/2 doors look much better when you don't want to go doorless. I guess my personal preference is mine.

i agree. and when you're wheeling it's hell trying to lean out the window with fulls. that's why i'm trying to trade mine for halfs.

I traded my full doors for halfs with no regrets. However, being that you want full doors I say make the deal, even if it means throwing a hundy or two on top. I say that only because half doors pop up a LOT more often on CL than full doors. It'd be a lot easier to go back to half doors if you were so inclined.

I love my half doors, and wouldn't trade them, but at the same time, I would like to have a set of fulls as well. I drive 35 miles each way to work, and having full doors would make the commute much quieter. That's about the only reason I can see for having full doors, but like you said, personal preference!
