craigslist is not a bad place to look, I have had pretty decent luck. I just picked up a $200 used ax5 to keep me rolling while I rebuild. I have heard that avoiding use of the fifth gear can really help it last longer too. It is not a bad idea to have an extra ax5 laying around anyway.

quik update: Royally screwed on craiglist transmission in which I bragged about the low cost of. However I did find another cheap one from a wrecked later model with only 25K on it and it works great! I now plan on using the bad ax5s as planters to mark my parking spot in remembrance of my two tran swaps in my two weeks!
