OEM Center Console Subwoofer

I am in need of a center console subwoofer for a 2004 TJ as mine is blown.

Anybody have one lying around?

Go to Amazon and for about $25 (possibly less) u can get one brand new WAY better than the stock.

I doubt u can find one from the TJ that isn't blown.

X2 you can find a sub from 12 to 100 bucks on amazon, I recommend the Kicker 6.5.

I was undet the impression that no aftermarket ones fit or worked? I didn't think they fit in there. Will most 6 and a half inch subs fit in there?

I have the kicker 6.5 CVT it fits fine. There are little plastic fins in the factory sub box that have to be cut out. Took all of 1min to fix.

Someone else recommended that also. It's a plug and play replacement for the factory subwoofer correct?

The factory has four wires and you only need 2. I just picked 2 of the 4 and it worked.

I just bought and installed the CVT 6.5 and used the following wiring configuration. Brown and red together on the Red Kicker post and Black and Grey together on the Black post. I cut the factory ends off the wire because the Kicker has binding posts that crimp onto the wire itself. It sounds great so far. I got it on Amazon for $62 and free shipping. There are cheaper alternatives but I am very happy with the Kicker. Bass is very clean now.

there is one 10mm bolst under the cup holder in the front and 2 t27 bolts under the cup holder in the rear, 2 #2 phillip head screws in the console. you have to pick up on the front console where the shifter is and then the rear console will slide away. lift up on the rear a little bit until you can see the wiring harness, disconnect the harness and the rear console should come right out. once you get it out, remove the 3 screws on the side of the console, flip it over and you will see two little metal nuts that hold the little subwoofer box inside the console. the nuts are kind of a pain in the a$$ to get off.
