park/neutral safety switch wire

When I put a new tranny in my tj in April, I found my wire had a nick in it close to the connector, so I jumped the gun and ordered a new cable. Then a friend told me to put the liquid electric tape on it and it would be fine. He was right, so now I have a $60 special ordered cable that I'm stuck with. It hooks to the safety start switch below the shifter on the side of the 32rh and connects into main bus line on top of tranny, $40 obo
