I have a set I will sell you pretty cheap. But I cut the 3 wires a few inches back from the light so the plug is not with the lights.

Well maybe you guys can help me out. Do I need the plug or can I just splice the wires straight across?

There should be a purple one for the back up light, a yellow and black one and a yellow and red one I think. As long as you splice the right wires together I don't know why it wouldn't work.
