TJ Hardtop for sale- Long Island
Hi all. So my TJ Sahara was totalled in Hurricane Sandy. The soft top was installed at the time and the factory hard top was 100 miles away and avoided disaster. The insurance co wouldn't spring for the hard top since it wasn't on the Jeep. That's the backstory, fwiw.
I think the color is officially "spice". Not brown, not grey...
Defroster and wiper (I believe they work)
The not great:
•aluminum hinges are dusty with corrosion (plasti-dip anyone?)
•Could use a good cleaning!
•This thing was in great shape up until that last blizzard. I had it out to get some pics, and when the snow fell the pressure has left it with a crack in the fiberglass, on the panel between the door opening and window on the driver's side. It looks like the fiberglass layers delaminated due to snow weight. The crack doesn't go through and is probably an easy epoxy fix.
So- what I was hoping would help my JK mod fund...is now going for a lot less.
I will try and get some pictures today and post up later, but if anyone is interested- $250 buys you some highway silence until spring shows up.
We put this on every winter and yanked it in the spring. The downside is that you need to come up with something to talk about in the winter months since the road noise goes away.
FYI- Located at the east end of Long Island.
