wanted ford 8.8

im looking for a ford explorer 8.8 drum or disc doesnt really matter. i have a lot of stuff to trade. would like to find one in the northern ny area.

i checked it out but i found one local and traded s front diff and some transmission cores for one i got a 94 ford 8.8. besides the breaks what else is different from the 96 and later

is yours drum? thats probably it. most people get that one for the disc brakes though.

it is drum but i didnt care they all wanted too much for the later ones and ive wheeled junk with drums at all 4 corners befor so drums in the rear dosnt bother me

i would imagine thats the only thing making them more appealing, unless there's more splines or something making the later ones stronger. not sure.
