Nice looking guards, how much more would it be to have them powder coated?

We really don't offer powder coating on any big items that is out of State.

Local accountability is so much better when you have them coated in your area. For instance, a coater in Arizona is going to do things a bit differently than somone in New England when it comes to a quality job. Local shops know what it takes for a lasting job. And if you ever have any trouble you have somon local to bring it to to rectify the situation quickly and cost effectively. The extra insurence and conveinance it provides is really hard to beat.

Working with the powder coater directly is almost always going to get you a significantly better job, than buying somethign pre-coated by a manufacturer.

So why does every other manufacturer offer their wares in powder coat? Never had a problem with my OR-Fab carrier, PSC Rockers, or Warn bumpers and we're in Cali?

Here in Chicago I have had alot of problems with Warn PC It peels off and rusts. My warn bumper, diff guards, steering box skid, my dads bumper. All Warn, all have rust and PC peeling problems after 1 year. All the stuff I have had done locally has lasted 1 year and still looks new.

Besides, the Warn PC is very thin! I dont think they blast their parts before PC either....I think they are dipped in solvent first.

To have those corners done around here would cost around $50-$70. Thats blasted, Zinc primered and powder coated.

To my point, as well is the cost. A Jepper walking in getting one set of this or that PC'd the next time a black or what ever color run is going to pay a great deal more than a fabricator doing batches.

Not true at all - You have to keep in mind, "Fabricators" are not powder coaters. Many(if not all) companies sub their powder coating out to the lowest bidder.

Just because you purchased a powder coated product from a fabricator - don't assume you are getting a quality powder coating job.

99% of the time you will have better results by having a local shop do it, who will put the time into doing proper prep-work, and using a quality powders.

Prep is the key to good PC. Most "low bidder" coaters dont bother to blast, you cant get a good coating without blasting.

Here is my Rokmen gas tank skid after getting blasted. I would much rather save a few bucks off the shipped price and get it coated on my own. At least I know it will be unscratched when I get it back from my PC guy.

A wheel that came back from my guy. IMO parts look alot better when done locally!!
