2000 TJ "as is" comes with everything. $4500

$4500 Located in south jersey. Selling it "as is"
Problem: Jeep will run fine for X amount of miles and then begin to miss and eventually throw a CEL and loose all power. turn the ignition off and then back on and you can go another X amount of miles before it does it again. Can provide a list of things replaced or checked since the problem started from my mechanic. I bought a new car and want to start and older project so i dont have the time to tinker with her anymore
174k ish on motor and body, about 50k on rebuilt 3 speed 32rh
New crank and cam sensors, coil rail, whole harness pulled twice and gone over.
New diehard platinum P4 battery from sears only about 5 months old.
Quadratec q9000 series winch with 5 pulls on it.
New steering box as well as all new tie rod ends, ball joints, new track bar with stiffer axle bushing and drilled to 7/16ths.
both front wheel bearings replaced last spring (timken) along with both axle ujoints.
All new ujoints and front shaft centering ball done last year with spicer parts.
new steering stabilizer
New front rotors and pads along with rear shoes.
7.5" LED light bar center mounted over cowl
2x KC spot lights
2X fog lights mounted next to winch rollers
LED under body rock lights.
Trans cooler along with gauge mounted in pod along with oil gauge on pillar.
Jeep sits on a 2" coil spacer lift, along with a 1.25 jks body lift.

We'll take a road trip and come get it lol I wish I had the time to track down and fix the problem but I've concluded having it pull both wheeling and daily driver duties is too much for me. Hoping someone will buy it so I can start a trail rig build. Whoever buys it is getting a lot of new parts lol

Perhaps my honesty with the problem its hurting me instead of helping like I hoped it would lol I feel like it's priced right since kbb values it a little over 6k. Oh well guess is just a matter of time

I agree, you've put an excellent price on this. People probably don't want to have to tinker with it. Like I said, if I was anywhere near you, I'd have a new jeep and you'd have 4500! Haha. Is there any rust?

***Update***: My mechanic just did the ignition switch on the jeep and one guy had it out for almost 30 miles without a problem, another guy had it out for an additional 10 miles after letting it idle hot for 30 minutes. Fingers crossed this seems to have solved it. Asking price is the same at $4500 with everything i just want it gone. Jeep is uninsured so unfortunately no test drives.

Jeep has been idling for over 5 hours without a problem. Possible that a connection at the alternator or the alternator itself is or was to blame. Tested good at 3 shops and on a meter by me. Unfortunately cant do test drives since its off insurance. $4000 everything included. Would like it gone to free up the driveway space for something else.

$4k is a pretty good deal even if he hasn't found the problem yet. No I don't want it ( I do but don't need it) just thought id bump your thread and speak up. Hard to find a seller whos completely honest about a used Jeep. Cheers and best of luck

Do you have any better pics of the exterior, underside and interior? I am in upstate NY, so NJ is not a very far ride for me. I am looking for something to work on for my daughter. I just spent the last 2-1/2 years restoring an 87YJ for my son, so now it is my daughters turn. I don't mind the mechanical, but I am trying to stay away from major body work. Been there done that and would rather not again.

Thanks Walt

I am interested. Please send me some interior pics to joeylead@hotmail.com I live on long island about 3-4 hours away. I can rent a u-haul and come down and get it. Also can I get a pic of the undercarriage and rust areas (floorboards etc...) My last TJ was pretty well rotting around me. if its easier to send pics to my cell, email me and I will send you my cell #.

Just a heads up, I had a very similar problem with my Jeep. Drive at highway speeds for an hour (plus or minus a few minutes) would shut off like someone turned off the key. I could push in the clutch, turn the key off for a few seconds, turn it back on and let the clutch out and keep driving a few more miles till it did it again. My problem ended up being the fuel pump.
