I just got a 2011 jk over the weekend. It is a four door unlimited sport and I am trying to find a cold air intake that would work on the 2011 and is CA smog approved.

Factory warranty

How does this effect the factory warranty? I am under the understanding that most cold air intakes do not void the warranty but I have heard several different answers.

In order for any CAI factory or aftermarket to void your warranty that part within itself must be proven to be the cause of the condition. Installing a Mopar CAI does not void your warranty. Should you exceed the manufacturer's water fording limits which than can cause water to be ingested than this would be at your liability.

What conditions do you currently drive and plan to drive your Wrangler in?

Honestly I drive it too and from work and when I do anything other than that, I cruise the beach down here or take it to the dear lease and sometimes I go in the dried up creek bed behind my house. No rock climbing or going through deep water for me, well not yet at least.

You should have no worries then. Keep in mind both Mopar Accessories & Mopar Performance parts are tested through everyday and extreme conditions.

Your Wrangler will not be any less capable with this equipped.

Please let us know if you have any other questions and be sure to enjoy the drive!
