Question Bumper end cap choices

Detroitsteel, the General, and the gang at Maximus,

I have a request/suggestion for another bumper accessory:

I would like to remove the end caps from my front bumper to provide a better approach angle directly in front of my tires, but since I live in the Pacific northwest where much of my off roading will be on brushy trails with alot of trees, removing my end caps will leave my plastic fenders and factory fog lights vunerable to damage.

I would be very interested in some choices of high clearance, modular, aftermarket end caps that blend well with fenders and bolt securely to the 10th anniversary steel front bumper.

Maybe you guys at Maximus could consider some bolt-on options for us that prefer to run a full length bumper to retain protection for our fenders and fog lights, but want better approach angles directly in front of the tires that also creates a structurally functional design and maintains a clean "OE" look.

Of course structural integration into the chassis and frame would be factors in the design, while hopefully retaining the factory tow hooks and crash cans.

Thanks for taking the time to cosinder my request.

Respectfully,
Jerry (Debueller)

Jerry,
Actually we were asked for the exact same idea/proposal by the 10A facebook group earlier ...!
The idea is great but upon the design study we realized that in order to maintain a clean OE look and ensure a perfect interface/mate with the bumper center piece we were going to need to make stamping tools. The economics did not make sense for us to pursue it.
We also considered a low cost but more labor intensive fabrication process to make the end caps but quickly realized some quality concerns.
For now the idea was pushed aside, ... but not dead.

Jerry,
As the general stated we have contemplated your proposal. We will continue to look for ways to make the project feasible.
Our business model is simple. We spend most of our days talking, communicating and exchanging ideas with the Jeep community. Most of our designs and products are either generated or there has been contributions from customers like yourself.
Our phone number is listed on the web site. Don't hesitate to call us direct. Time zone is not a problem. We find ourselves discussing concepts with customers most hours of the day.

Thanks guys for your responses.....

I will be givivng Joe a call later today to finalize a pending order for a winch mounting kit.

My Jeep is only a few days old and I plan to do one project at a time, and the end caps are several items down my list of priorities so I'm not currently in a big hurry to do anything yet.

I'll keep an eye on Maximus for any future news on new products.

I can echo the comments from the General and Detroit Steel. I talked to them about several products either that need to be made or can be made better. Several are on the drawing board. I own a 10A Wrangler and love their products. Keep the ideas to them flowing.

Subscribed. If these and caps come available, I would love to put them on my 10th anniversary as well.

Could you guys look at replacement for the 10a rear bumper end caps. I want to do flat fenders at some point, but the way the rear bumper end caps look with flat fenders is stoping me. For that matter, you all might consider designing a tube steel flat fender that includes running lights in the front. Would love that!

Hey guys,
Did you ever make or look into making a cap for the 10A Rear bumpers, to cover the space after removing the stock rear fenders and installing flats? Saw a thread where someone had mentioned you guys did design something for the rear bumper ends but i didn't see anything on your web. I am interested if you did. Thx
