Well, I've decided to order one. I called today, but it was too late to catch them. I'll try Sat. or Monday to order. Went ahead and ordered the lights I wanted through Amazon to go on it, Hella Black Magic 1000's to go with my JKU CG. I've blacked out everything else already.

Very interested in install for 2013 for those who get it. Want t know what I'm in for before I order. I don't think we will have to move anything around like water pump in 2013 models. Does anybody know what size the light bracket holds? 6-8"?

Any concerns about airflow with the winch mounted in front of the grille?

We did not need to relocate anything on the 2013. If you are referring to the compressor pump, attachment points are on the outer side of the chassis frame away from the pump..

REMEMBER FOR NEXT STEPS,

HINT:
At installation step 7, if you don't have a low profile 7/32 allen wrench you can cut the short end of your regular L allen, ... cut as low as possible just enough to be able to get under the tow hook

Also if you don't have the right tools step 2, removing the air dam can be annoying as the clips would just spin and not come out. Solution? prepare a pick tool or use a small knife tip to pick up the pin as you unscrew it. That should work. The rest is simple and straight forward if you follow the guide.

Do they not include a 7/32 allen? Wouldn't want to cut one of my set.

Very High Quality Parts from Maximus

My Maximus-3 Bar/Hoop/Light Bar/Winch Plate came in today. The packaging was very sturdy and the individual parts were wrapped with several layers of protective materials. Not a scratch noted. The parts are powder coated flat/matt black and are very precision fabricated. As a matter of fact they are "overbuilt" and are very high quality. Weight of Hoop/Light Bar is about 20-22 pounds with the brackets. The brackets are super heavy duty as well. Will install in a day or so and report on install.

I threw mine on tonight as well. It took me a little longer than I had hoped, but I had a 3 and 5 year old that insisted on "helping" me! This thing is really high quality! It seems like this company definitely put some thought into this product. The hardest part of the whole thing was probably getting those awful plastic screw clips out from the air dam. Also, getting around the pump on the driver's side to remove the bumper can be tricky. I will do a more detailed write up later, but i just wanted to share a few shots.

I still need my lights, but here it is with my stubby caps

I'm really loving the new look!

Wow! That looks awesome with the polished black accent. I'm really jealous... I wanted a black JK, but settled for the billet instead. What end caps are you running? That's the style I've been looking for.

Thanks! Those are the VDP end caps. It's a crazy simple mod that makes a big difference in appearance. I had to take them off to remove the bumper to install the bar. So, if you were going to do both I would probably make the cuts, install the bar, then put the caps on.

It came with the silver bumper appliqué, but I changed it for the black.

My pre-assembly assesment

.
I guess I can echo the positive replies to this post as well. My package arrived via the mailman today. I studied the installation directions for the last few days while anticipating the actual delivery. If you have any sort of mechanical ability [which we all do, right?] this looks like a simple install.

The package weighed in at 30.4 pounds. Add a couple of pounds for lights [lights only in my case] all I am adding is maybe 32 pounds to the front of my Jeep.

The bumper/light bar was packaged very securely. The finish of all the parts is very nice. It looks to me like a flat/satin textured maybe powder coat finish that will match my stock bumper nicely.

Step 1 of the installation guide is to Pre-assemble the bumper bar module and assemble your auxiliary lights. I am deviating a little since I haven’t picked any lights as of yet. It looks to me like there will not be any issue installing the lights in the future.

The first thing I noticed is how nice this thing went together. I did not need to perform any re-engineering to pre-assemble the bar.

Very nice fit and finish for as far as my install has gotten. Tomorrow morning I am on to step 2, taking my 2013 Wrangler apart…

Thanks reissc1. Your results have driven me to bite the bullet and get this hoop. I'm definitely putting the VDP caps and the color-match on my to-do list also. I've got to buy a new bumper (mine got crumpled up a little) so I'm going to look for one with the appliqué to go for your look. Doubt it will look as cool in the billet, but I'll give it a shot. Hope you don't mind me stealing your ideas...
