They looked better on my laptop than on my phone due to the bigger screen. I see what you're saying. I did use a Nikon camera though!

Maximus Bar/Hoop with Blue Ox tow baseplate

We just got our 2013 white JK Sport S, Auto, 3.73. This is a look we love and wanted to keep the stock bumper.

We need to order a Blue Ox baseplate for rv towing behind the motorhome. Since the bumper has to come off for this install, I am thinking about purchasing the Front bumper bar with light brackets and having these installed at the same time as the baseplate.

Installing both shouldn't be a problem since the base plate attaches to the frame, right? Can't wait to order!

There shouldn't be a problem but I would advise that you contact maximus-3 and explain to them before you make the purchase, just to make sure the two products can coexist on the chassis frame.

Thanks, I plan to contact both Blue Ox and Maximus tomorrow to get dimensions and feasibility

Decided to pull the trigger on this and got my hoop in last week... Very impressed with the quality of this product. I decided to try it out with the silver sahara applique for a different look. Still not sure if I'm going to keep the silver yet or not.

Here are a few pics if anyone is considering the same setup.

Looks great! I do like the applique with the hoop. You may want to look back in this thread at reisscl's setup too. He's got a black color matched applique that looks really badass with the maximus hoop.

I would like to see an optional stinger hoop as well! I would buy this in a heartbeat! That way I can have interchangeable bar hoops!! Maximus-3, could this be a possibility!?!?

Does anyone have pics of this with the winch installed? Looking for some additional pics besides the brochure...

I'm curious how well this would hold up if you actually needed to use the winch. Has anyone actually used a winch with this setup?

The lights are IPF968's. I saw them on a few other Jeeps here and thought the silver lettering on the stone guards would match well with the applique. I don't have them wired in yet, currently waiting on the spod.

Yeah, I liked the black applique a lot. I might switch over at some point, it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to change out. I'll be running the silver for now though.

If I were to run a winch, I think I'd want it mounted down inside the bumper.

Wonder if they can do this?

Curious to know how sturdy the hoop is. From the pix, it looks like there are 4 fairly small bolts holding each side to the top of the bumper. On the pic of the JK 10A, it looks like there are only 2 bolts per side. What am I mIssing?

That hoop is solid as a rock. It mounts with four 5/16 bolts on each side and two 3/8 bolts on each side that tie to the chassis frame.

Here are good shots from previous posts.

I noticed that this thread had gone kaput. Went looking for it the other day and it was even gone from my history. What happened?

The hoop is secured with four bolts tied to brackets which are secured to the frame. The 10A uses three bolts also secured to brackets tied to the frame.
