Anybody else have problems with 4wd?

Ive been ordering from them for a few years now with no problems but every order this year has been nothing but problems. Anybody else been having problems with them?

Yes, I just spent 3k with 4Wheel Drive and treated nice until I received a Damaged XRC Bumper and told that the price match wasn't going to happen via Roy and his Management.

Now, Roy has advise that i talk to another Sale associate. What the heck. I also ask for Disabled Veteran discount and received overprice Bumpers. Rip!!!! I will use Ebay for my sources , where buyer protection is offered.

Tom, I just received two defective tires from 4WD, making it difficult to drive anywhere in my TJ.

I live 45min from them. I will not buy from them any more. They don't price match. Requested a price match on a few things and if they can't match they won't respond. Why price match...just buy from the cheaper store to begin with. I've been shopping from them several years and they lost my business.

I called 4WheelParts (same company) in West Covina today and asked them to hold an $$$ item for me and that I would be down to pick it up before they closed. This was going to be my weekend project so I wanted the item in hand. Well, traffic was murder and I literally got there at closing. I pulled around their back lot and saw the bay doors open, guys wrenching on trucks, and thought, "Good they are still open." I parked in front of the entrance door store and saw an employee walk up to the door. Our eyes met and he leaned forward and locked the doors. WTF! They knew I was coming, they saw me there, they knew I would be in and out in 5 minutes, but I quess they really needed to go home yet the garage employees were still finishing up. So, I was going to call them on the phone but thought, "No. They are not getting my money or my business anymore."

The local 4 wheel parts(same company) has a program that they send your club a rebate check from all club members' purchases made throughout the year. You just need to set them up with the names of all club members and they(we)get a card from them with the program. After several years of going round and round with the name/card debacle, we gave up. They said we were part of the program, etc. etc.. So where was our rebate check? Again after being told(on several occasions) that a check was in the mail, we finally got a check recently from them. But the check was a gift certificate for 4WP. Lame. We would have nothing to complain about if we were never told about this non-program. They have lost the business of our whole club(about 20 members).

Plus I'd like to add that it looks like 4WDBRIAN is just another salesman. Trying to make nice from a corperation that doesn't care about its customers.

That is the exact same thing we've been told and gone through, twice. The program is a bad joke and we don't shop there anymore. When we get the money we've been told we would get(and not a gift card to 4wp) then all is well. I'd say fix the program from your end 'cause, again, we've done it on our end.

When it comes time for the annual reward the club president has the option between a gift card or a check. The person that handles the program is aware of the situation and would like you to email him direct so he can get this situation fixed for you and your club. We would love to try and earn your business back and get this resolved.

Add me to the list of people who have had issues with 4WD.com, and yes I did attempt resolution with them.

My issues were over-promising and under-delivering more than twice on promised TrekArmor delivery dates. I have no issue with delays, I have an issue with reps not being honest.

There was no selection for side-air bag compatible front top seat covers. I was under the impression that all TrekArmor/Bartact covers were compatible after April 2015.

When I brought this issue up to 4WD.com, I did not expect a complete replacement as I had installed them already and just did not have a warm fuzzy on how they looked after installation for side air bag compatibility.

4WD.com refused to assist at all because I ordered so long ago (it took 3 months to get all deliveries), and because I installed the seat covers.

I did due diligence before the purchase, and should have done more, still I expected the vendor (4WD.com) to step-up on some level. 4WD.com simply blamed TrekArmor for not having that option available.

TrekArmor not only helped, but completely took care of the issue even though I do not believe they were really at fault.

I cannot say enough positive stuff about TrekArmor/Bartact quality, fitment and overall stellar service!

I recommend that you order direct fronTrekArmor even if 4WD.com has a better price. I hate to say it, and I rarely do, but I will never do business with 4WD.com again.

I apologize for the problems that you had with your order. Unfortunately sometimes ETAs do change however they should have called to get a more accurate estimate. As for the air bag compatible part of this, that feature is still fairly new and they do not have a specific part number to get that option. As of now the only way for that to happen is to call us direct so we can put a note on the order or put a note on the order when you place it online that you would like that done. The air bar compatible seat covers are also still an option and it does not come with every seat cover as not all JKs have the side air bags. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to rectify the situation for you.

Nope, no problems here. I just received great service and shipping times from 4Wheel Drive Hardware. I called to check availability, then placed my order online. 4 new tires showed up within 3 business days. I have been in contact with Tom Schnarrenberger at 4WD.com and he was nice enough to do a bit better (using the forum discount)on the pricing AFTER the order was fulfilled! Needless to say Tom is a stand up gentleman and 4WD.com will continue to get my business.

Please take people's rants with a grain of salt. Yes they are spending considerable ammounts of money with a company and sometimes issues arise, but handled properly, most can be resolved.

I've had nothing but good experiences with them the few times I've dealt with them. Once was a pickup order (I was passing thru town) and wanted a bumper. They had it in stock and helped me load it no problem. Two months later I realized they offered a forum discount so I contacted 4wdBrian and he retroactively gave me the forum discount via a gift card. They had no reason to do this as I had already made the purchase. I took this as a sign of good faith and a good company that wanted to make the customer happy.

They will be getting my upcoming business for a rear bumper tire carrier and a leveling kit for my JKU. I do not know of nor have I dealt with a company that would retroactively apply a discount and help a customer at the drop of a hat. Good company in my opinion.

Of the thousands of customers they service only a few complain, and sometimes when those people who have had valid bad experiences all post things online it may sometime give the wrong impression about a company.

And no I do NOT work for them and nor do I have any affiliation with them. I'm just speaking from my experiences.

Another person on list of dissatisfied customers. I ordered Rock Krawler 2 1/2" stock mod lift, on March 18. I have tried to find when it will be shipped. No reply. I contacted, Tom by phone, nothing. I emailed saies manager , nothing. After 6 weeks, I should be able, to know when and if going to be shipped. I would caution ALL, about delivery times. As stated above in email, from Tom on 9/4/2015, an estimate of time needs to be more accurate .

Can't please them all Tom , but it looks like your are trying. Some people will never be happy and I don't know why some feel a need to bash a company on the internet, especially those who don't realize that their lack of planning should not create an emergency for your company. ie, post #8

Wow! I have had nothing but good experience with them and Tom.
If something was shipped wrong or was missed they went out of their way to take care of me.
Even my local shop goes above and beyond to make sure I'm happy.
Problems happen that are out of others control, it is how they deal with the problem that sets them apart.
I ordered a ski plate a few weeks ago, they can't help the manufacture is still making them and they are being sent out for powder coating. Deal with it!
