03' TJ Passenger Seat Folding Latch Broken

My 03' TJ passenger seat folding latch just broke today and I was hoping some one can help. The latch, on the upper right side of the seat when sitting in it, still has a little spring in it near the top when you lift it but thats all it does now. I am pretty sure I will have to take the entire seat out to fix it, but am lost after that. I am reaching out for any and all advise, trying to put a one year old in her car seat through the driver side is kinda a pain haha.

Yeah sounds like the cable broke or came off. Hopefully just the latter.

Otherwise it means pulling the seat, removing the cover to access the cable.

It's either on HERO 4x4 Explore - Exclusive Worldwide Adventures in your own 4x4 or Jeep TJ Wrangler Web Site of Stu Olson there's a very good write up on how to repair the cable for fold and tumble seats....
