12 Jeep JKU CB Location- What do you think?

Let me know what you think of the location I installed my Uniden 510. Working on getting the rest of it done but the 2-year old ran off with my crimpers...

Instead of us telling you what we think, you tell us what you think. Maybe like passenger comfort, or maybe your ease of use. I would be interested on your thoughts on this.

Good point-
1. This set-up isn't for you if you're the type that runs through the freqs when you're out driving. It isn't too bad and not too far of a reach if you only use several channels. You can still keep your eyes on the road if you need to switch the channel.
2. I'm six foot, my son is 5'7", and the wife is 5'6" and neither one of us hit it or knock into when we have the seat up close or all the way back.
3. It's a great set-up for the antenna cable (18 ft). I ran it under the passenger side floor and under the hard top ledge out through the grommet for the third brake light. I have more than enough room for opening and closing the tail gate and won't have to worry about anything pulling or snagging.

Although not ideal, I had to fight the wife about it. She doesn't appreciate a CB radio like others might. I conceded to her and did not mount it above the rear view mirror. She is the one who convinced me to get the jeep because I was happy with the 04 Laredo (no payments). She had me price several jeeps just for a what if type thing and then when we went by the dealership she got us an amazing deal for our trade.

That spot looks pretty slick. Where do you plan to mount the mic clip? I will be ordering a 2013 and will ad a CB to mine as well.

I'm going to mount it it to the area next to the hazard light switch. I have three empty spaces. I will use gorilla glue double sided tape or something like it to keep it up there.
