12000 Ib WARN winch?

Hey everybody. Iv got a 98 tj and im looking for a winch. I can get a 12000 ib Warn "Tabor" Winch for about $450 right now. I figured that the more power the better, but people keep telling me that its too much for a tj. So i figured I would ask the all powerful world of wranglerforum for their input. what are the cons for having a more than enough power winch? Also im planning on buying a bumper for it too. Right now im leaning towards the smittybilt xrc but i still havnt decided yet. Any input?

Don't know that there is anything necessarily "wrong" with having a 12K lb winch, but just keep in mind that it's one very large and heavy winch. I wouldn't run one on a Jeep simply because of the size and weight. A good 8K-9.5K winch will serve you well, and weigh much less.
