'13 unlimited phone question

Folks...am wanting to have a phone in my 2013 unlimited and do not have a cell phone (no need/no desire to have one).

Is it possible to add an old style car phone?

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Jordan

Why not just get a cheap prepaid/pay as you go phone?

Hi...thanks. Sure, that is an option. Am supposing that Uconnect voids the option of the old style car phone.

I honestly don't know much about the old style car phones. Weren't they basically just regular cell or sat phones? I'm guessing you just want it as like an emergency use only if you get stuck/broke down in the middle of no where? Have you considered a CB radio?

As a guy in the telecom industry I can tell you the old analog cell phones won't work on the new systems, everything was moved to digitail. Now if you have OnStar in the Jeep you can get a phone line that will only work in the Jeep.

Like other have said, a cheap phone won't cost much and will give you a lot of piece of mind.
