1966 cj5

Today in the paper i saw a 1966 Cj5 for sale. Heres the add. "Jeep 1966 CJ5 original condition, $1,500. Snow plow, soft top, stored 25+ years. Early brass steam engine bell and yoke, complete, $1,500 OBO"
Would this be something worth the money? even if its just parting it out?
Is there anything i might be able to use on my 2004 TJ?

I know its hard to say anything without knowing more about it, but opinions are appriticated. thanks.

Pretty much nothing on a CJ5 will work on your TJ. Aftermarket lights may, but as far as soft top, doors, hood, wheels, axles, etc. nope. I have a 65 CJ5 I will say the Dauntless V6 is a good engine with good power to weight ratio. The axles are weak, but it is a very basic Jeep and has its basic vehicle charm. You will really appreciate the technical advancements made in the TJ after driving an old CJ for a while.

I dont think ill be getting this CJ, but im trying to talk my dad into buyin it. If its not completely rusted out my dad should be able to buy it and fix it up if he decides to get it.
