I am new to this forum but decided to join as I am currently looking for a Wrangler. Over this past weekend, I test drove a '93 with a 6 cylinder 5 speed. the interior was damn near immaculate and everything felt tight when driving. I wasn't expecting something from 1993 to look like a brand new car underneath. The tub had a few spots of rust that would need to be addressed. The driver's side door only opens from the outside which is probably a pretty easy fix. The person who traded it in took good care of it too. In fact, the tires are more or less brand new with about 90-95% tread left and it comes with a soft and hard top (hard top is practically brand new and the soft top has no holes). The only thing that really makes me nervous is that there were a few spots on the frame that are rotted through and will need to be addressed. I understand that I could weld steel to beef the frame up a little bit. Is it worth a $2800 asking price? Again, I understand that the frame and body condition is typical of a Wrangler especially in New England. Thanks for the insight!
