Default 1993 wrangler wont start

ok, i need some help
i was driving my jeep the other day and it shut off on me and i let it sit for about 30 min then it started. well again today i was driving the jeep and it shut off on me but this time i could not get it restarted. I have recently replaced all the ignition system and checked it again, everything seems to be working. I have also replaced the fuel pump and checked the fuel rail for flow and it seems to be good. If anyone has any ideas that could help they would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like next step is check to see if it has spark when it won't start.

yes i checked the spark and its good and another thing i forgot to say is before i changed the fuel pump i check the fuel pressure and it was over 100psi. do you think if the fuel pressure was too high it would cause it to shut off and not restart.

Any error codes?

Sounds like a loose or wet electrical connection. If you have fuel pressure on the rail, assume you have air supply to the intake, then it's electrical.

Try to extract an error code.

i have never seen fuel pressure that hi. check it again now, i'd say a clogged or kinked return line, but jeeps don't have return lines.

yes they do dave!!!!, why hasn't anyone said anythign about a fuel pressure regulator, being bad, he said 100 psi!!!!!!!!!!! they only run at most on 40 psi. and what about the fact that the crank position sensor goes bad ofen on them, no one said anything about that...check it, check the tps sensor, crank sensor, camshaftposition sensor.
also is there a pulse going to the injectors, check that.

slow down buddy, cps will have no spark when bad. by my memory without looking at his jeep, i don't remember any jeeps with return fuel lines. if he has a return line that would be my first suspect, and a regulator doesn't usually allow that much pressure when it fails, they usually leak down, or leak gas into the vacuum line.

if in fact that fuel pressure reading is correct.

i'm just trying the think of reasons and what i checked for when my engine wouldn't fire when i put it in, it had spark to the coil but nothing after that. then it would run but only for a second or two, and now i have a bad tps so it causes the jeep to not run at all when unplugged. so taht is why i said anything. and as far as a return line, it is the one nearest the fan, its hooked to the regulator. the one before that is the supply line.

i think the older ones with external regulator (on the rail) may have returns then, newer jeeps, with regulator in pump assembly are returnless
