Default 1999 Grand Cherokee Electric Fan issues

My Electric fan has stopped working and she is having over heating issues. I checked out the fuses next to the battery and everything looked fine. Is there a place I can plug the fan right to the battery to check if it indeed works before I have to splice the wires/order new fan?

(I replaced the thermostat and coolant prior to noticing the fan had stopped working)

Yes, we do indeed have a 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited in the family now. I posted this on Cherokeeforum also but I wanted to see if you guys knew something also. I was really excited this GC has pretty much the same engine and has a electric fan to boot! The all wheel drive makes it feel like it has way more get up and go though.

On our 02 there was a plug on the shroud that you can unplug ad run a hot wire to to check. I did and found it was relay mounted under the right head light bucket. Hope this helps.

I can almost guarantee it's your relay underneath the passenger side headlight. I replaced mine twice on my old 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo. First time was difficult and I had to disassemble a lot of the front pieces. Second time, I pulled headlight and cut a 3x3 hole in the plastic underneath the headlight. MUCH EASIER!!!
