2002 Jeep wrangler sport I-6

I am going to drive 2200 miles. I need to know what I should tune up, beside oil.

Make sure all of your fuilds are topped off and all of your hoses and belts are in good condition. Other then that there isn't much to do other looking everything over to make sure that they are in good condition.

I second checking belts and hoses and topping off fluids. It would also be a good idea to check the brakes, get an alignment and rotate the tires. How's your spare? (If you carry one).

My hoses and belts look good. I am getting an oil change tomorrow. I am going to check my coolant and trans fluid. After all of that am I good? I have new tires and they have been rotated. My spare is fine as well!

One problem, my check engine light came on and I scanned it pulling a 'P' code. Apparently my TPS has low voltage. Should I replace this?

If I was going on a 2200 mile trip, I would get AAA.

+1 My first cross country trip I had a u-joint go dry but I made it to my destination...

Cross country trip #2 the plastic portion of my radiator cracked at a gas station next door to an Advance. You can do all the preventative maintenance you want but there are still unforeseen variables. I lucked out and caught it before I got into no mans land but I added AAA to my policy anyway.. You might not be so lucky.

Jerry Can for fuel is handy when you don't know when the next gas station is coming up...
