I have a problem. I was in 4 wheel drive and when I went to shift back into two wheel drive the lever feels like its not connected. Any suggestions ?

They have a link on the shift cable or bracket that breaks. Somebody will chime in with details.

I think you can shift it out of 4 wheel drive under the jeep by moving the shifter by hand.

Any suggestions on the repair is it a difficult one? The lever just feels free and you can't really see anything with the insulation under the jeep.
