And I drove it a little more and it got louder and finally quit and now no longer runs it is sitting at the dealer awaiting diagnosis has any one else had any
Problems like this with the new pentastar motor?

The vehicle had a interior redesign in 2011. The 2012 Wrangler finally got the Pentastar which has been out for awhile, and used in these vehicles.

That's rough man, hope they get it fixed in a jiffy for ya. Make sure they tell you WHY it won't happen again after they do.

When Toyota first put the 3.0 in the Sienna van, they rotated it rearward about 30%, which caused it to run marginally hotter, and soccer moms left oil in too long, causing sludge in the motor. Not saying this is you at all, but my point is sometimes good motor + good car = big problems.

Everything uses you as a beta tester now, from electronics to cars to food. Sad how "corporacratic" we've become.
