Just got some new plugs for my 2013 JK I have never done a spark plug change myself but would like to do so. I've used the search feature on the forum with no avail, if anyone has any info manuals or videos regarding a spark plug change on this model it would be greatly appreciated thanks guys. I opened the hood and I honestly have no idea where to start.

Spark plugs are 100,000 mile maintenance item. Do you really have that kind of mileage on a 2013 JK? Assuming not, take the plugs back to where ever you bought them and get your money back. There is absolutely no reason to replace plugs early on a modern engine.

I don't know what owner's manual you're looking at but your 2013 Wrangler owner's manual says to change the spark plugs at 100,000 miles. It's on pg. 617 in the maintenance schedule.

However, my Sebring maintenance schedule also says to change the plugs at 100,000 miles. I recently changed them at 81,000 miles and added a bottle of Seafoam to the tank before we headed out on a 4,000 mile trip. I've noticed that the fuel economy has increased 3-4 mpg since I did all that.

Plugs are an inexpensive so returning them will just be a waste of time. On most if the other Jeep vehicles the maintenance schedule is 30k miles. Wranglers seem to be different as where they need only to be changed every 100k.

It won't hurt to change them now but it'll be a waste of time.
