2015 Waiting Room

VERY long wait. Rumors abound of V8, pickup bed, diesel engine, and warp drive. Well... maybe not the warp drive. Design change (rumor?) with the 2015, so our JKs will suddenly be 'old school', and the new Wrangler will be the latest love it or hate it Jeep. Unless the designers totally blow it and lose the 7 vertical slots, there will be waiting lines at the dealers.

Post all the latest rumors on the 2015 here, and we should have at least 10,000 posts by the time there is good solid information available.

The forum admins can make this the first thread on the new XX Jeep Wrangler Forum as soon as we know what it's going to be called.

Might have to call it the 2020 Waiting Room in that case...

Gotta be some spy photos out there somewhere... prototypes... concepts...

I heard the 5.7 Hemi will be standard in the Sport. It will still have 3.21 gears though.

Oh, don't forget the power convertible top!

The Diesel from the Cherokee will be debuting in the Wrangler, with a turbo option. A factory Brute conversion will be readily available on dealer lots, with the diesel, a stouter frame, more tow capacity, and added payload capacity. Weight will be dropped by using a lot of composite materials, including for the roll bar.

There will also be a no doors or top option to save money. If you're going to leave them off all the time, just order one without them to solve storage issues!

Since it's going to include the Truck (Brute) version, I'll guess the new model designation will be JT.

Definitely a diesel in the lineup with a nice 400 N m or so, turbo available for the mall cruisers in the crowd.

There'll be a mass extinction event before that. Maybe a cloud of comets in a couple million years. Then a silicon-based life form will be digging around in his local tar pit and discover an old prehistoric barn with a pristine 2015 JT neatly preserved inside.

That's all over on the Grand Cherokee forum.

This thread gets a Rubi WITHOUT air conditioning.

There's no way Jeep gonna loose the seven slotted grill tradition. I bet money that rock Jock 60's is gonna be optional by 2015. Got a few family members out of Chrysler, and it was planned for 2014. Just a heads up on that

Jeep usually doesn't know what's going to on the new year model till the first one rolls off the assy line. It's been a long standing tradition at Jeep since the early 70's (maybe even before!)

No guys, its already gone viral, they're equipping the new jeeps the way James Bond's Aston Martins are..complete with the invisibility and rockets. I guess they saw the Hummer Hunting thread on here and wanted to take it to a whole new level. Congrats to the man that started that thread! I've got a couple tents who's trying to get to the dealerships??

I'd like a diesel, and a turret ring for mounting heavy and light machine guns, and a way to fold down just the passenger side windshield so I can slap another 240 in that spot.
In all seriousness though, a 4 door diesel will be the first vehicle I buy brand new.

I'd love a diesel, but really hope they also offer a diesel conversion for the older jeeps. Dana 60's would be awesome.

some more speculation elsewhere in other threads. slanted windshield, rounded corners and some other 'jaywalker friendly' mods. why wait - just get an FJ Cruiser now.

I think 2015 has been pretty much confirmed even though it hasn't been.
