33's with 6 inches of lift?

Anyone have 33 inch tires with 6 inches of lift? My 35's seem too big to me; not a whole lot of room for them, and I've heard that a locked Dana 35 with 35's is a timebomb, and I figure I can at least have it last longer or have a lesser chance of breaking with 33's. I want to either trade someone local for their wheels and tires, or when it comes time to get new tires for me, buy 33's. What does everyone think? Anyone got pics of it? Thanks guys

I have 35's with 4" of lift
But since you have a yj it takes more lift to fit the same tire guy I work with has a 3" body lift and a 2" shackle lift with 33's

I think your right
FYI shackle lifts give you half the amount in actual lift. 2 inch shackle will = 1 inch actual lift.

Here is mine with 4 inch lift with 33" .... 35" did fit but i'm locked and concerned about my axles too.

I think 33's might look a little funny but you never know until you try them on.

*Note I have TJ flares and flat fendered

Hope that helps

Thanks everyone. I think I'll definately do this 'downgrade', I dig the way it looks and I'll break less crap, too. But I need to get it driving again before I do anything else.

Here are a couple of pics of my YJ with 33's and about 7" of lift (SOA with 1.5" RE SOA springs)

You can see in the second pic how little room there was in the fenders. That's why I ran 33's on that rig.
