3rd gear grinding wtf

97' wrangler with body lift and suspension lift. All gears are good except for 3rd. I drove another jeep that had same set up with a 3rd gear grind. It almost sounds like a synchro a shift at low rpm is generally fine. I'm starting to think it has something to do with the lift possibly as well. Ideas on what to look at first? Just want to head in the right direction. Hope it's not a synchro! I've replaced those myself before and it was a pain.

If it has to do with the lift the only thing that comes to mind is clearance to shift all the way in not grinding. So unless any other gear is bothering you I have no idea. It is usually 2nd and 4th that are affected by a body lift.

Its weird too because if I shift into 3rd and try and keep the shifter to the left side of the shift gate it does not grind. This makes no sense to me what so ever.
