4.0 tech question

Im in the process of buying an XJ off of my GF's dad. Trans is shot, but im getting a good donor trans. Anyways, its an '87. Was orginally my GFs till she sold it to her dad. Ran good when she had it, (minus shot trans). It then sat for a month or 2, and now it starts right up and runs good, but is idling very high. This jeep doesnt have a tach but i would guess its idling at 2,000 rpms..? Any advice on this, or suggestions on helping bring it back to normal? I was kinda thinking vacuum leak? Thought id ask her a bit before spending a whole day on a simple issue. And yes the is an XJ question on a wrangler forum thanks.
