6sp Wrangler?

Hello, I have a couple questions..I just bought a 2013 4 dr Wrangler 6 Spd.. The last time I drove a jeep was a 1997 5 sp.. Now I have noticed a couple of things...Is it a safety feature that they have that you cant start the jeep unless your foot is on the clutch..Also..switching to 6 spd...Im not use to it but I have this fear that Im going to shift it into reverse.. So can someone tell me that its impossible to do that.. Also I have a Soft top and when I open the back up..is there a clip or something so I can put things into the trunk without bending upside down,,LOL.. I apreciate the help, and am loving my Jeep....

Yes, you have to step on the clutch to start the vehicle. This has been a safety requirement for US vehicles for quite some time. I'm surprised the '97 jeep didn't have it.

You can shift into reverse by accident. Well, it won't go in, but it will grind. The shift pattern is a bit wonky. To avoid any concerns, when shifting from 5 -> 6: while in 5th gear, push the shifter to the right first, then pull it straight down into 6th. You'll find this removes any possibility of engaging reverse.

Unfortunately, there's no quick way to remove the rear window. You have to deal with the small opening.
