8.5" wide rims.

Any body have any pics from the front or rear of some larger tires on 8.5" wheels? I found some wheels i really like but the widest they come is that. So I want to know if they're gonna look too skinny or not. Thanks!

If anyone knows of some that look similar that are wider i'd love to see them. I really like the silver and black! These are 17"x8.5" Or I could go 18"x9"

I'd go with the ones debruins suggested, I've got them in Eagle Alloy and polished(no black)... plus like Mr.C said

17's and 33" tires is a horrible combo if you even consider going offroad.

33x12.50 = 15x8" rim. You don't want 10" wide rims.

Oh, didnt know that. So the 17"x8.5" will work fine with 33"x12.50 tires right? Have you seen pics or have any like that?

yea, but with a 17" wheel you'll be paying out the A$$ for tires, and you'll more than likly rip the tire off when on a trail... go with a 15"x8" wheel

They do make a 10" wheel in a 15" diameter. Depends on whether diameter is more important to you or width.

I have 10" rims, and had the M/T 33" X 12.5" X 15" tires on them. I had to replace them last week, cause they were slap worn out. I got some A/T tires, and they had a heck of a time putting them on the 10" rims. Most 12.5" wide tires are made to put on the 8 or 9 inch rim. But because of my lack of experience, at the time, I went with the recommendations of Mickey Thompson. On my YJ, I have 14.5" wide tires, mounted on 9" wide wheels. It is also much better when off roadn, less damage to rims.

The larger your rim size = more $ for your tires. I would stay with a 15" rim, better selection of tires, and cost less.

A 10" wide rim will give you a little bit better footprint than the same 12.50 wide tire will with an 8" rim.

Some say that you will blow beads easier when aired down on a 10" rim, but personally I air my 35x12.50's on 10" rims down to 6-8 PSI and have only blown 1 bead in my lifetime.

cuz i have 32x11.5's comin in this week, and was looking at wheels for them to get in the future, and thought a 10" rim would be a better fit, but i guess an 8" would actually be better. thats good to know... save a little money too

I have the opposite opinion(for once)! It isn't about popping beads but our last trip to Disney was a very good learning experience in tire pressure. I have Anya's jeep setup on 15x8" wheels and a 35x13.50 tire. After a whole weekend of wheelin I didn't burp any air at all. I checked each tire and they were still at 10psi. My buddy Forrest has 33x12.50s on a 15X10. Every last one of his tires had lost 4-6psi over the same weekend.

I've noticed this time after time as it wasn't just that trip. But to be fair I have also burped air out of my 37s on a 8" rim. But that's a little different.

So im guessing 15"x8" is the way to go? Regardless of the tire???

edit: Eventually I wanna do the 6" Bushwacker flares because I like the looks. Would those look ok with 15x8 rims on 32"x??? tires?

this is the exact set up im going for too, and i think they would look fine. im going with 32x11.5 bfg at's and a 15x8" wheel... i think they'll look ok. then again im speculating, and actually have never seen it, just goin with what i like

my 15x8 @ 32" sticks out quite a bit. so I'm gonna end up getting some kind of wider flare.

No, no extended flares allowed. You will only tear them up on the trails. Not to mention they look gay as hell.
