Does anyone know what drivetrain a 83 cherokee, with a 360 and an auto has in it?
Thanks

i'm not sure on trans, but it will have a full time t case most likely, and d44 axles, but the rear axle will be offset making most of the parts useless for a wrangler if thats what you are thinking. the manual trans waggy had a centered rear axle.

sm 420 trans is super hard to find, get that. i got the sm465, but i would've bought the 420 if i could find it.

i forgot about dana 20, i didn't know the break for that either.

Sorry my last post was confusing. My brother already has a 73 cj with a 225, an sm420, and a dana 20, He wants to put waggy springs and full size axles under it, thats why I was asking about the Cherokee. I found one for sale but I haven't crawled underneath it yet.
