89 wrangler ?

I am new to this jeep world, if you guys don't mind. Could you help me on knowing the difference about all the CJ's, XJ's or wrangers in general. All I know is that I have an 89 jeep wrangler w/ a 4.2 engine that's bone stock.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

that is true about the 1996's. if you bought a jeep in 1996 it was a 1995 yj left over, or if you bought it in the later part of the year it was a 1997 tj. that 1 year time period is kind of confusing b/c there was no 1996 wrangler made. but luckily his is an '89 so its definitely a YJ, no worries about any cross over.

as long as your jeep doesnt look like this its the right one

its the DJ3-A Surrey Gala, notice how i left it off of my list. this is a part of the jeep history that needs to be put back in the closet, the very back of the closet.
