97 TJ grinds on takeoff

I bought a 97 TJ 4.0 with 109k. I noticed it started grinding in first when I takeoff. I'm new to the jeep scene. Just traded my sport bike for the wrangler so I don't quite know the terminology yet. But when the clutch is almost fully let out is when the grinding happens. It's 3 or 4 intermittent grinds. It's almost like a knocking sound. I honestly have no clue what it could be but it doesn't sound like its supposed to be there. Any ideas?

I had something similar on my 05 tj with 122k truns out the sound was the throw out bearing and clutch making all the racket. Had them replaced and all was good
