97 TJ with long crankover time

Dude I got a 97 TJ and ever since I've owned it, it doesn't start on first crank or it takes awhile to start when cranking it. I've done everything to it and still no solution, any help would be appreciated.

Done everything, as in what? Have you checked your spark plugs and fuel pump?

Hmm...seems like somehow it's not getting enough gas to spark. Is that what you're thinking?

Next time you start it (esp. "cold"), try leaving the key "on" for about 5 seconds before you try to start it. If it fires right up, it is likely the anti-drainback valve on top of the fuel pump.
