A/c

Ok it's hot where I am and I can't have my top off all the time cause the wind here is like the blow dryer commercial from 5 gum. So any ways, my A/C doesn't blow out of the vents that I select. Mostly just out of the feet and defroster vents. Any ideas? I think I'm just going to replace the whole selector unit but thought I'd at least ask the question first. Thanks for any help.

Let me just be clear that I do not like having blow dryers all over me going 55mph and a 20-30 mph wind. It is not refreshing like the commercial implies...

Seems to me a jeep was a wrong choice for you. If the a/c isnt working properly why not just have it fixed? What year jeep do you have? Any warranty on it?

If it's a TJ, I'd bet you have a hole in one of the vaccum lines or it's disconnected. I'm not sure if it's a JK

A jeep is the right choice for me, don't worry about that, I love my jeep. It's just this damn place that I'm currently living dry, hot, and flat with a lot of wind. It's an 02 TJ. And I was thinking it might have been the vacuum tubes as well. It pretty much just chooses what vent it wants to blow out of depending on how fast (or slow) I'm going. I'm just going to take the dash apart whenever I get a chance. The A/C is more for the kids anyway. They don't have the same views about the top being off as I do. But they are learning...

The problem is definently a vacuum issue. Good luck getting it fixed.

No need to take the dash apart, I bet it's in the engine compartment.

That was it! It had actually fallen off at number 8 in the second link you sent.... Couldn't believe how much dirt was up in that bracket.
