A**holes keyed my Jeep

So my Jeep got keyed last night. It is above the rear tire on the passenger side and is about 3 foot long. Deep as hell too.

My buddy owns a body shop and I'm checking to see how much he'll repair it for. If it's too expensive how can I go about repairing a scratch like this myself? I'm very ignorant towards body damage and repairs.

I'm livid right now

i would get some body armer to cover it if i was you, also i would just get a court case and have them pay for it and take it to a TOP NOTCH body shop (not saying that your buddy isnt) and charge it up

you KNOW who did it but can you PROVE it? Don't do something and get caught ... he probably cost you $100 if you remove his oil filter and he drives then his engine blows or causes an accident YOU are liable.

just because someone keyed your car, doesn't mean you should retaliate. while being angry is okay, karma will take care of the rest.

years ago, my g35 was keyed down the entire length of both sides. while i was angry, i accepted the fact that there are jealous people, and that it was just a car and could be fixed.

good luck!

It's not do much the visual of the scratch, it's the rust that bothers me. I mean year I'd like to not see it, but fact is this Jeep is getting tore up I don't want a crazy rusted out Jeep in 5 years. I usually rattle can everything, but that's in the undercarriage. I don't think that'll work on the body.

rattle can would work on the body ... Shoot, get enough to cover both rear corners and make it look on purpose...

There's these teenagers that live next door that love screwing with shit. I've already reamed them for throwing cigarette butts on my back porch last summer, and said if I catch their dog crapping in my yard again I'm shooting it.

They were loud last night and had people over. I can't PROVE it, but I know it's them. They're the only trouble makers in this neighborhood.

I'll go take a pic right now

Yeah it's older though. 07. Like I said she's got knicks and dings on her so I'm not worried about the visual aspect too much. But man that thing is going to rust something nasty

I have dents from HT removal BTW this will not end well. I feel a scratch back would have been enough

instead of messing with there cars like they did yours. (witch in my thoughts shows no back bone or man hood) take that AK and a buffing wheel and some paint down to there house and tell them get busy.

Dude I know I lost traction on a muddy hilly and slammed that rear panel with a tree scratched it all up and busted my tail light.

I used nail polish to fix it but it wasn't as bad as this key job lol

That's my thinking too. If I did that driving into a tree I wouldn't be bothered. But stupid kids messing it up because they're bored really is burning me up

There is only one solution to this problem..park your front tire on the hood of their car...and say whoops...I was busy looking at the scratch in my side mirror and didnt realize where I had parked...
