Question A little insight?

I am curious. Why is there so much animosity and/or opinions on the different Wranglers? I am a newer Jeep owner and I would be proud to own any of them. CJ, YJ, TJ, LJ, J8 or JK. So whats the deal? I thought they were given these labels based on model year? I would really like to hear your input and opinions. Good or Bad. Which ones handle better off road, dd, whatever other wisdom you may be willing to part with would be great!

Honestly....I think most of it is just good ribbing with each other. The JK has in some situations brought the non-traditional Jeepers into the fold, ie; they bought the 4 dr. model to be the tradional soccer mom etc and not a jeeper, you find them at the malls and stuff and they usually dont wave etc.(this is not true for all JK'rs and certainly not the folks you find on here).

But most of it is just plain ol fun.

The JK's are basically the "new kids" in the Jeep family and it is their turn. The CJs picked on the YJs, the CJs and YJs picked on the TJs. It is a rite of passage, but we are all one Jeep family.

^^^^^^That there says it all!!! When I got my YJ - my Best friend had a CJ-7 and he gave me hell. Mostly because of my square head lights. Then when a friend got a TJ, I have him hell because he had A/C. (not that he ever used it)

It was all in good fun

yeah it's all good fun. I've got a 2 door, and I get ripped constantly for plastic fenders, and my engine. it's no thing. just rip em' back. square headlights, TJ=tiny jeep, carbs are for dinosaurs, get a real axle, etc.

we're just a bunch of trash talkers it's nothing really.
