ABS light

soo I had to pull my dash cluster for the first time since I've had my TJ. it's a '97 and I bought it in 2006. I had to replace the check engine light (which was on, of course) and realized the ABS light had been yanked. I'll go ahead and assume that's on as well. don't even want to replace it, it's just going to irritate me...

I'm just assuming the lights on. I should have put the check engine bulb I bought in the abs socket just to test it but it was cold as hell out yesterday and I just wanted to get it finished. knock in wood I haven't had problems with the abs in five years so I might not even mess with it.

I'm gonna guess that you don't have ABS. It is not a standard feature on TJ's. They share a dash with Cherokee's and so they have unused lights, like the full time 4x4 light. Look under the hood for the ABS module thingy...

ahh I didn't even think about that. that's great news! only thing that concerned me was when I held a flash light up to the bulb hole and it showed the ABS. there were three other slots for cruise control and such but since it's a manual they don't apply and there was no symbol for them. hopefully it is just that Cherokees have the same dash. that's actually a little bit of a relief.
